Description:
This position is for 2 jobs, the first position is housekeeping and occasional meal preparation. The second position is for general maintenance/grounds. Descriptions are below, but not limited to.



1- Housekeeping duties include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping/mopping the floors, cleaning windows, dusting, and general tidying up of living spaces, office, porches and the lodge. Other duties also take place during the week as needed. For example, in the spring we prepare the gardens around the ranch and also, run various errands like going to the Post Office, grocery and / or hardware store, etc.



2- Repairs, services and cleans all equipment used in grounds and pasture maintenance such as

mowers, tractor/trailers, farm equipment and a variety of hand/power tools.

Plants and trims lawns, trees and gardens using hand tools or motorized vehicles, landscaping and snow removal.



Light carpentry work such as painting, screen/door repairs. Performs related work as assigned

Removes snow from decks and parking lots, and spreads salt during icy conditions.



Knowledge of proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides for cultivation and weed control.



Ability to use a computer, follow oral instructions and read written instructions and communicate effectively.



Must be a non-smoker, able to communicate, work independently and with others.



This is a working ranch so there are times when things come up and need to be done that are outside of your typical work. Both positions must be comfortable and familiar with horses, cattle, dogs, chickens, turkeys and ducks.
