Description:
This is a used pair of handmade step in chinks made by well- known Texas saddle maker Terry Gill. Terry was a rancher in Texas and Oklahoma and later became a saddle maker, training under the legendary saddle maker, Bob Marrs. We talked to Bob Marrs about Terry Gill and Bob said he worked for him about three and a half years until he opened his own shop in 1992. Terry passed away in 2011 at the age of 68. The chinks are marked on the belt. These chinks are made out of about 4 ½ brown colored chap leather smooth side. The yokes are triple thick and are buckstitched. There is no missing fringe, no loose stitching, no holes and no tears in the leather. There are some marks from use and someone punched some extra holes in the belt. These chinks are on the small side so please check the measurements below. There is an additional set of slots punched so they could be taken up another 1” in the thigh. These would be a great pair of using chinks.

Measurements: Waist - 32” to 40”, Upper Thigh - 22”, Length (outside top of yoke to bottom of fringe) - 30”, Conchos Diameter - 1 Ό”, Belt Strap Width - 1”, Side Fringe – 5 Ό”, Bottom Fringe - 7”
