Description:
My name is Amy King, I am 20 years old and I’m looking for an assistant training position, loping, or intern position for an accomplished cutting or reined cow trainer. I have been starting colts and training for the past 7 years and just spent the past 8 months training under horseman/reining trainer Mark Jenkins in Valdosta Georgia. We mostly trained reiners but the goal was to have all-around horses that we’d take into the sorting or cutting pen occasionally. I have good experience with "problem" horses and rehabbing off-track horses and abused horses. Really wanting to furthering my knowledge in reined cow and cutting horses, as well as ranching. I worked on a dairy farm where I helped with calving, giving medications, and daily care, so have some experience with cows. Hard-working, able to take orders and instruction and always open to constructive criticism. I do have a small, well behaved dog, and one 3yr old AQHA filly I would like to bring with me but can sell if I have to. Location doesn’t matter, I’m WANTING to relocate!
