Description:
Looking for an honest, dependable self motivated person on SW Montana irrigated horse and cattle ranch. Ideally the applicant must be able to work unsupervised, have both horse and cattle experience, operate haying equipment and understand both flood and wheel line irrigation. The ranch owner will be absent from the ranch for extended periods of time therefore; the applicant must be willing, comfortable and competent to make most of the day to day decisions.



The horse aspect of the job will include breeding and foaling mares, feeding and caring for all classes of horses on the ranch. Other duties will include feeding and calving cows, fencing, maintaining irrigation ditches, irrigating, haying and general ranch maintenance and upkeep.



The job will be 6 to 7 days per week with opportunity for extended leave in December or January. Housing is provided, which consists of a 3 bedroom mobile home in town approximately 4 miles from the ranch. Salary will be a combination of wages and the opportunity to run up to 30 cows of your own with the ranch providing all pasture, hay and facility. Only serious inquires please. This is not a cowboy job as saddle time is minimal.
