Hello, my name is Shad Ortega. I am a 26 year- old Christian. I am married with no children at this time. My wife and I are searching for a permanent ranching position that we can build our life around. We are looking for something with a fair salary, descent housing, and growth opportunity. We are both non-smokers, and non-drinkers. We are both ready to work hard, dedicated to learning, ready to share our knowledge as needed, and willing to put in extra effort to accomplish the desired outcome . However, we do expect respect and honesty, which we equally require of ourselves. Both of us where raised on working cow/calf operations and are devoted to the ranching heritage. I realize that being a ranch hand demands many avenues of experience where the more you know the more you will thrive. I am proud to be a fifth generation cowboy in a ranching family and I have seen many ups and downs in the beef industry. My wife and I both love this lifestyle and want not just a job but a home that we can be proud of. We look forward to being an asset to our employers. My ranching experience is life-long but I also have an associate’s degree in Diesel Technology that I expect to use in benefiting the ranch that I work on. We are willing to relocate.
