My name is Jamie. I am a 23 year old college graduate of Murray State University. I got my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in equine management. I have been riding and working with horses for over ten years now. I have worked with horses from newborn foals to over 30. I have helped start horses, fix problem horses, and other general training. I also have some experience with cattle. I used to help with show cattle as well as a small herd of feedlot cattle. I took pre-vet courses through college for companion animals, equine, and bovine.



I am a quick and willing learner as well as a hard worker. I enjoy helping with the manual labors that are included in this line of work. I have experience fixing fences and gates, picking up manure, doctoring animals as well as looking for any changes in them, carpentry work, etc.



I am currently in West Yellowstone, MT working at a dude ranch as a horse back guide. I am willing to travel anywhere in the country for the right job. I would prefer a job that provides room, board and salary. However, I am open to any opportunities that may come up. I would not mind getting more cattle experience under my belt, so a cattle ranch that works their cattle with horses or does drives would be wonderful as well. I have a resume available for anyone interested in seeing a full detail of my past experience as well as references.
