Description:
We have an opening for an honest, reliable, full time employee on our family owned & operated cow/calf/yearling operation in far NW SD. Looking for someone long term. Applicant MUST have experience in ALL phases of cattle ranching and be able to work alone & well with others. We do put up our own hay with modern equipment, so some background in servicing machinery, and haying is desired. All cattle work is done horseback in a low stress manner. Salary DOE. We also provide housing (2 bedroom house) with utilities, beef, ranch pickup & trailer for work. We do not use dogs to move our livestock, and we do not allow pets inside the house. Other experience in calving, spotting sick livestock, doctoring, roping, and building/fixing fence is required. Not a full time riding job, but we do get lots and lots of horseback time here. Our 2 yr. employee is getting married and moving on. Job could begin July 1. No smoking, drug use, or heavy drinking. Personal and work references required. This is not a couple position but families are welcome. We are somewhat remote and this is a wonderful ranching community around here. Must have 2-3 of your own personal ranch horses and good horsemanship skills. Serious applicants only need apply that have the experience that we are looking for.
