Description:
For 10 years I worked on a couple different cow calf operations before I decided I should go back to school and get a degree(I have held a couple part-time and seasonal positions while in college). I will be graduating college the end of July with a bachelor’s in Ag business with a cluster in range and beef production. I also have a strong background in animal science. I am now looking for a job that I hope I can use as an internship to receive my degree officially.

I love to cowboy; rope, brand, and chase cattle. I break my own horses and do all their up-keep myself (trimming and shoes). I have seen lots of different ways to do things, from horse back to on foot, from roping to low stress handling. I feel confident I can adapt to almost any ranch because of the knowledge I have gained from both experience and my schooling.

I can work alone or with others. I have the capabilities to lead a crew. When I set out to do a project, I don’t quit until it is done (as long as materials and sunlight last). I am not an old dog that can’t learn new tricks. I am a fast learner and can operate various machinery. I have flood irrigated, operated wheel lines, K-lines, and an older pivot. I am a lousy pipe mover. I do have limited experience working with haying equipment. I have ran feeders, loaders, forklifts, skidsteers, and a variety of tractors. I can perform basic maintenance on this machinery.

I have a wife and daughter, who both love the ranch life. My wife is not afraid to help out where ever she can. We love to be in the middle of nowhere. Don’t care how far away we are from a town as long as there are cattle to take care of and our horses close by. I do have my own gear and horses, two working dogs, reliable transportation, and a good attitude. My wife and I are non-smokers and non-drinkers. Feel free to contact me anytime.
