Description:
Small family owned mountain ranch in New Mexico seeking experienced ranch caretaker for live in position. Our family resides in a different state, and when we visit the ranch we want to be welcomed and hosted in a friendly, comfortable, helpful way. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and up keep on homes and facilities, managing wells and irrigation, and operating and maintaining all ranch vehicles and equipment. The candidate should have experience building and maintaining fences, and will be responsible for the care of lawns, trees, ponds, and keeping the overall appearance of the ranch in top shape. Experience in the care and training of horses and the ability to teach beginning riders and lead trail rides is a must.

The successful candidate will need to have a great deal of common sense, a strong work ethic, the ability to work unsupervised, be organized, reliable, trustworthy, and have the ability to make our family, friends, and guests feel welcome when they are at the ranch. This position will provide a house, utilities, ranch vehicle and a negotiable monthly salary.
