Description:
A full time position is available immediately for a Resident Carpenter or "Handyman" on a working ranch/professional training facility in Southern Oklahoma. Sorry-this is NOT a ranch management or horse training position.



The ideal candidate will have general knowledge and experience working around horses and livestock in addition to verifiable work history that reflects some type of advanced carpentry skills such as residential remodeling or construction. Trade skills or experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, and basic mechanical skills would be also be useful.



This is a steady, generally full-time, 8-5, Mon-Fri position. No trainers or outside horses allowed.



Duties will include upkeep, repairs, and renovations to ranch facilities and numerous rental properties.



Before applying a potential candidate should be able to answer "yes" to the following questions:



1. Do you want to live full time and work on a ranch?



2. Do you have experience handling or working with or around horses and livestock?



3. Do you have advanced carpentry skills?



4. Does your resume’ or background include any type of carpentry or trade skills or prior employment in property maintenance, residential remodeling or construction, or a related field?



5. Are you able to work independently and with little or no supervision at times?



6. Are you flexible in nature and able to multi-task?



7. Are you able to retain information and follow instructions easily?



8. Are you currently single and without children who live with you or married (or with a significant other) and have children who are either grown or do not live with you?



9. Are you willing to accept a starting base salary of $10-$12 per hour (review and salary increase in 60-90 days)plus private, fully furnished housing accomodations which include paid utilities, Direct TV, Wireless Internet service,and numerous other benefits?



We are offering an opportunity for secure, full-time employment at a steady pace in a quiet, stress-free environment. We aren’t interested in drama, illegal drug use, excessive drinking, inappropriate or unprofessional behavior, or personal problems that interfere with productivity or the high standard of professional environment that we strive to maintain. Our ranch is a professional training/breeding facility with an equine apprenticeship program that is open to the public as well as a working ranch. Professionalism is very important to us.



Unfortunately, due to limited housing space we aren’t able to offer this position to anyone with children or an extended family. Couples will be considered.
