Big Mack is a true gentle giant and one the entire family can safely enjoy. At 17.1hh, he is big and beautiful, but also so sweet and kind and safe. Big Mack has been ridden by both of my sons, ages 6 and 9, as well as many beginners who have come to the ranch. He really takes care of the kiddos, and will adjust himself to the level of his rider. He is an excellent trail horse, and will also drive single or double. Big Mack is 16 years old, sound with no health problems, and has good feet. He is willing to trot and lope if asked, but will walk all day long and never go any faster if that is what you prefer. He has no problems riding out by himself or in a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group and going off on his own. Big Mack reins very well, and is even starting to pick up on neck reining. He is very easy to catch, stands quietly to be saddled, and takes a bridle easily. He is not spooky or scared of anything, and rides just as quiet away from home as he does at home. Big Mack is light mouthed and easy to stop and turn, and will go anywhere you point him. He rides down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it, and would be an excellent horse to ride in parades. He will cross water without a problem. Big Mack is easy to catch, stands quietly tied, loads and hauls well, and is excellent for the vet. He does not require stocks to be shod or trimmed.
