5 year old John mule



a little over 15 hands, probably has some more growing to do.



Has been training to be a pack mule. Still a little unsure of people, may have had some rough handling in his past, but is coming along nicely. Has thorough groundwork training with flag work, tarps, etc. Still needs work with his back feet but coming along well with front feet. Has been saddled with both a pack saddle and riding saddle. Never sat on. Looks to be gaited. Have loaded panniers with random things during training but hasn’t hauled a full load in the woods. Have led out in the woods and did well. Isn’t exactly volunteering to be caught but once you have him he is great. Just needs an experienced mule person who can be consistent with him. He is a sturdy, super smart guy that will make someone a great partner!
