Description:
Key Bar Ranch, family owned and operated, located in Glendo, WY is seeking to hire a full time farming/ ranch person to assist with farming and general ranch maintenance operations.



Farming operations include approximately 800 acres of irrigated Alfalfa Alfalfa/ Grass mix farm land irrigated via pivot, side rolls, and flood irrigation.



This position would be responsible for assisting in daily operations, farming, irrigation, hay production, equipment maintenance operations, and ranch maintenance/ care.



An ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter with a good attitude and work ethic. Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.



FARM & RANCH POSITION

Major Focus:

The position entails general ranch duties with an emphasis on farming and general maintenance required to run a successful operation.

The ranch encompasses approximately 10,000 acres with 800 acres of irrigated farm ground. The crops are alfalfa and grass hay with some small grain used as rotation. Additional leased ground is included to raise the hay production to feasible levels.

The duties will include but not limited to the following items:



Farming

• We raise alfalfa grass (and some small grain)

• Cultivating, Planting, Irrigation, Leveling



Irrigation

• Flood, hand line, gated pipe, side rolls, big guns and center pivot systems

• Dam and ditch maintenance



Machinery

• Operations

• Repair

v Maintenance



General Repair

• Fencing

• Plumbing, i.e. wells, water, septic

• Electrical

• Corrals

• Carpentry

• Landscaping

• Buildings

• Painting

• Weed and pest control



Welding

• Electric arc TIG and MIG

• Gas welding and cutting





Range Management

• Grass

• Sage control

• Re-seeding

• Pasture rotation
