10 Year Old 16 Hand AQHA Bay Roan Gelding

“King” is a tried-and-true working ranch horse that was raised and owned by the same family his whole life and can do it all.

He is big boned, tough footed and has caught and worked cattle from the mountains of Southern Wyoming to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

He is nicely broke with a good stop, is soft in the face and will set back over his hocks to turn after a cow. Rides one-handed in a bridle, has a big ground covering trot and can go all day.

King is fun to sort and rope on and will run to one in the pasture or quietly prowl through the rodear while you set up a shot on your next calf. He has caught and loaded plenty of bulls and dry cows into the trailer, doctored and branded calves, and has also been hauled all over to compete in Ranch Rodeos.

Always gets around good in rough, rocky country with lots of timber and deadfall. Good ground manners, loads right onto the trailer and is good to shoe.

King is friendly and good to be around but is not suited for an inexperienced rider. He is very honest about the fact that he is cold backed and will buck when he is fresh. He comes right out of it and is good to go, but we are selling him as such.
