Overtime eligible. Location: Rifle, CO   Primary duties/responsibilities include:   Livestock care: Feeding and watering animals, checking for health issues, assisting with birthing, treating minor injuries, monitoring animal behavior, and herding cattle to pastures. Applicants will be expected to feed domestic animals (small indoor mammals and reptiles).   Facility upkeep: Repairing fences, maintaining barns and stables, cleaning stalls, and making necessary repairs to ranch infrastructure. Equipment operation: Operating tractors, trucks, UTVs, and other farm machinery to transport feed, haul supplies, and perform various ranch tasks.   Field and General Maintenance: Operating and maintaining irrigation systems. Overseeing and harvesting of a large hay crop. Performing tasks including landscaping, snow removal, and general clean-up around the ranch.   Job Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and be comfortable riding horses Experience with different types of livestock, understanding their behavior, and ability to safely handle them Knowledge of farm equipment operation and basic maintenance skills A valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate farm vehicles is required Working some nights and weekends may be required Experience with maintaining a detailed cow/calf list Positive attitude and strong work ethic Proactive, dependable and must have reliable transportation to and from work Ability to work independently and in a team environment Good communication skills Must have a minimum of three years of experience working on a ranch To apply for this position, please send your resume to: ranchemploymentinquiry@gmail.com Posted 02-07-25 5109 visitors have viewed this ad
