Judd is an absolute gem and a very rare find in a draft cross and we are so excited to offer him! He is stunning, gentle, talented to do any job required of him and most of all he is fun to ride! Judd is a 5-year-old fancy, and gorgeous red roan gelding that stands 15.3 hh with all the bone and substance needed. He has all the looks, movement and an incredible mind that makes his future so bright! Judd has flawless conformation, a kind eye and a great mane and tail. Our family has owned Judd for over 3 years and we have enjoyed every minute we have had with him! Judd is well broke and educated, he has all the buttons with a solid foundation. He has the best brain, a quiet mind, and all the moves! Under saddle he is uncomplicated and easy to ride, we have never had a draft cross that moves and rides like him. Whether you ride English or Western, you will love his training and way of going. He has three incredible gates, great transitions, lopes off from a standstill and is very soft in the face. He will steer off your leg, neck rein, spins, has a great stop (just say woah), he side-passes, pivots, he will pick himself up, collect and ride on contact, or will stay levelheaded on a draped rein or ride bridle-less as well. Judd is extremely intelligent, easy to train and has the best attitude and is always willing to work. Out on the trails he is brave alone or good in a group, he crosses water, is used to many different types of terrain, goes through the mud and over the logs. In the barn, Judd is a joy to have around he is polite and sweet and always aims to please. Judd is very well mannered on the ground and is an absolute joy to own. He ties, stands quietly to be brushed, saddle and mounted, he’s been in cross ties, loves a bath, and is great for the veterinarian and farrier. He gets along great with other horses and stalls well. Judd has been ridden by children and handled that well. He is an easy keeper that requires no special care or maintenance. If you are looking for that once in a lifetime horse that has the perfect combination of athleticism, disposition, and versatility Judd will excel in any discipline you choose to take him. He shows a lot of promise in many different disciplines and could go on to be successful as a rope horse, dressage & western dressage, ranch versatility, ranch riding, working equitation, etc! 100 % sound and has a basic pre purchase exam on file.
