Description:
Family ranch located in southeastern Montana is seeking an experienced all-around ranch hand. This is a full-time long term position in a remote location with limited cell service approximately 30 miles from the nearest full-service town, and 70 miles from the nearest Wal-Mart. Must be able to work with and around women and children. Must be a self-starter, honest, dependable, trustworthy and able to work independently as well as with others. Must be a capable cowboy and stockman, but willing and able to operate haying equipment and do light repair and maintenance work. Other duties include but are not limited to fencing, checking and repairing water, spraying weeds and any other general ranch duties. There is a lot of riding and cattle work but this is not a cowboy position. Horses and 4 wheelers/ side-by-sides will be used. We need someone who is willing and able to do the day-to-day work of operating a ranch.

We provide housing, utilities, work pickups, and beef. We pay according to work ethic and experience. This is not a bank job schedule. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug and background check. No smoking and/or drug use/alcohol abuse will be tolerated.
