She is the meet you at the gate with a good attitude, ready for the day kind. She is always gentle, always. Candi is impeccably bred. She is an own daughter of Boon Too Suen out of a High Brow Cat daughter. She is bred to watch a cow and she will do it! She has a good bit of cutting training and is extremely cowy. You can drop your hand on a cow and she will cut. She would be a great option for an amateur or youth horse to show. We also sort a lot on her on the ranch and in the stockyards. She’s had 1,000’s sorted on her and she will set in a gate as good as you can ask one to. She will excel in any cattle discipline you’d like. Candi is athletic and capable, but she is also exceedingly gentle. When our daughter goes with us to help on the ranch Candi is her favorite to ride. She requires no warm up. Just catch, saddle and go. She’s taken care of our 7 yr old daughter in the cold, the rain and the mud and never put a foot wrong. She has proven her worth time and time again every time our daughter swings a leg over her. She is patient and forgiving. Candi has had ample arena time as well as time out on the ranch making her a very well rounded individual that is set up for success. She is the same horse out in the open country that she is in the arena. She is not spooky and will ride out alone or with other horses. She gets hauled multiple days a week and is not shaken by new surroundings or riding away from home or other horses. These are things she’s asked to do on a regular basis and is accustomed to. As well as ranch work, cow work and arena work Candi would also excel in the roping pen. She is started on the heeling dummy. She has the speed and the cow to make an awesome heel or breakaway horse. No matter what your favored discipline is, what direction you plan to head or what level of rider you’re looking to fit Candi has proven herself to be versatile and capable in all scenarios.
