Deer Creek Ranch was founded in 1990 and spans nearly 40,000 deeded acres in Long Creek, OR. Our mission is to create a last legacy, and a sustainable resource for future generations, and to preserve and improve the land and infrastructure that makes Deer Creek Ranch and unique and special place.



Lead Ranch Hand

In this role you will coordinate and be responsible for the execution of all activities involved in the operation of the ranch.



This position requires an ability to work independently; excellent communication, and organization, with a passion for ranch work. To thrive in this roll an individual must be detail oriented, with a strong work ethic, and a dedication to improve the quality of the ranch as a resource, and as part of a team.



DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Always improve the resources that make Deer Creek Ranch a special place and property.



According to annual maintenance plans, you will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of:

Buildings, Equipment and Infrastructure



Livestock Care: be it outside cattle or our own herd in future years, you will be responsible for the care and management of livestock throughout the year.



Act as a positive representative for the ranch in the community.

Participate in forecasting and budget planning for ranch operations.

Cultivate a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and quality communication among peers and affiliates.
