Description:
Wooden Shoe Farms is seeking a full-time ranch herdsman for our purebred cow-calf operation located in Blackfoot, ID. We currently run about 200 mother cows. We value and appreciate honesty, strong work ethic, and a self starter.

Position is responsible for all day-to-day ranch duties including cattle work, such as feeding, strawing and calving , fencing, equipment maintenance and record-keeping. We use ATV’s the majority of the time to move cattle. This job is not a good fit if you are looking for a job strictly on horseback.



Requirements: Self-starter, valid driver’s license with clean record, prefer at least 5 years of experience. Must be able to operate farm equipment and have calving experience.



Preferred qualifications: Mechanical skills, experience with welding, fencing, calving, grazing management, record-keeping.
