Join Our Team at The Winecup Gamble Ranch

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cowboss to oversee livestock management on our 1.2-million-acre ranch in rural Nevada. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of traditional ranching skills, modern management techniques, with a passion and energy for ranching. Demonstrate strong leadership and a commitment to the health and sustainability of our livestock and land.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain the health and well-being of all classes of livestock.

- Manage the scheduling for turning out and gathering bulls; safely wean, process, and ship calves.

- Conduct timely pregnancy checks and process cow herds to ensure herd productivity.

- Ensure cattle have constant access to water, forage, mineral, and protein.

- Effectively move and gather cattle to promote optimal land health conditions.

- Accurately collect and manage livestock records, including first and last calf births, death loss, and doctoring logs; prepare monthly reports on daily tasks and death loss for inventory.

- Supervise and provide leadership to the cowboy crew.

- Coordinate with other ranch divisions to ensure cohesive operations.

- Represent the ranch in a professional manner in all dealings.

- Maintaining healthy relationships with neighboring ranches and the community.

- Maintenance of company vehicles, facilities and equipment.

Requirements:

- Deep knowledge of sustainable cattle management and ranching best practices.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the ranch.
