Description:
I have full-time, remote employment that requires I live in or near Grand County, Colorado-- I travel throughout the county for fieldwork and project management.

My work is through a non-profit, such that I am and hope to continue to be a long-term asset to local Grand County communities (including ranchers and private landowners whom we often partner with...references available); HOWEVER, housing issues in the area jeopardize the longer term feasibility of this for me...



I hope to find a private living situation (e.g., guest house, separate apartment) that could include an exchange of general caretaking responsibilities for housing or reduced housing costs.



I am a single male, 37 years old and more than physically capable for ranch-type duties. I have plenty of experience with remote/rural living, animal care, and heavy equipment operation. I am responsible and educated (PhD) and have also worked as a construction laborer, commercial fisherman (off the coast of Alaska), and have vast experience in backcountry hunting and fishing, etc.



My remote, ’work from home’ job means that I would be onsite most days, all day (aside from occasional day trips to the field) and would require a good internet connection. This job is full-time (M-F), but my hours are somewhat flexible to accommodate potential caretaker tasks and weekends are available.

I also have a well-behaved/trained birddog, a labrador retriever, that lives inside with me.



I am in a lease now (with some flexibility) and amendable to a move-in at any in point in 2025.
