My name is Matthew Long, my wife Raegan and I are looking for a long term ranching opportunity. We have about 7 years of combined experience working on different ranches in the west. We are expecting our first in March, so I am looking for full time work and my wife would love to help out when she can.

My experience includes 3 years of cowboying on ranches. I have worked on both cow/calf and yearling outfits in Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming. I have experience in herd health, grass management, roping and doctoring, some calving, gathering in rough terrain, sorting, shipping, pairing out, starting colts, shoeing, fence maintenance, and irrigating.



We want to have the ability to help grow your ranch, while also attending to our own goals. That being said, our most ideal position would include the opportunity to run cattle with our employer in time. We are open to anywhere but particularly looking in the Great Basin area.
