NO Bridle NO Saddle NO Problems! Are you looking for that all around gelding that can do it all?? Rio is your guy! At 9 years old he is Americas favorite color.. Buckskin!! Rio has been with a ranch family since he was started as a young horse and he absolutely adores our 3 year old son Stetson. He is very patient and kind when he leads him around and handles him. He lets him hug and kiss his nose and just loves the attention. He is steady down the trail, honest as they come and his quiet disposition makes him well rounded for all levels of riders. Affectionately known around the barn as Rio he is a 2015 AQHA Buckskin Gelding. Rio has had the kids all around him. He is used to all the commotion of the ranch life from the dogs, kids, bikes, strollers, equipment and even the pet goat. In the arena; he walks quietly when asked. He has a smooth jog, lope and he goes the speed you ask. He rides in and out of the arena on a loose rein with a one hand neck rein. His smooth gaits, easy transitions make him easy and comfortable to ride. Rio is well trained for the advanced rider but will go slow and steady for the inexperienced riders as well. Rio is well rounded, user friendly and eager to please. On the ranch Rio is seasoned and solid. He has gathered the big herds in the pastures and brought them in at branding time. He’s great to sort on in the pen, drug countless calves to the fire. Rio is no stranger to the ranch chores, and he has had hundreds of yearlings roped and doctored off of him in the pastures. He can open and close virtually any gate too. Down the trail he goes where you point him. Rio is patient and cautious in rocky, rough terrain. He will go up/down steep hills, through thick brush, crosses the trail obstacles and goes through water. Rio is a gentleman to be around, gentle to handle and always tacks up the same way. He stands 15h making him the perfect size for everyone and big enough to get any job done with ease. Rio is easy to catch, stands to be groomed, handles all of his feet easily and is safe to have the little ones around. Rio gets along well with other horses; he is currently in the barn and is happy to be either inside or outside. He is current on his deworming, shoes and has a current negative coggins test. You will search near and far to find another Registered 9 year old buckskin gelding with the resume that Rio has and as gentle natured as he is..
