Just lay your eyes across Amigo. He is truly special and all you have to do is watch his video to see just how special he is. He rides the absolute very best in the arena, out on the ranch or down the trail. Amigo is very well Broke! Everything Amigo can do with a bridle; he can do with just a string around his neck. You can lope circles, stop, back up and pivot him around all without a bridle. He is honest, safe, and dependable. He will go where you point him whether it be Up/down steep hills or rough/ rocky, uneven terrain he is sure footed with patient foot placement to make sure he gets you there safely. On the ranch he has done it all from gathering the herd of momma cows, working the branding pen, sorting cattle, roping yearlings in the pasture and everything else in between. He’s a seasoned ranch horse and prior to Amigo coming to us he was used as a head horse from his previous owner but It has been over a year since he has been roped on out of the box. He is currently roping cattle on the ranch and doing all the ranch chores as well as ponying colts and helping us manage our day-to-day life. Amigo is easy to be around, enjoys attention and aims to please his rider. We have taught him to put his head down to bridle and to get loved on by the kids or shorter people. Amigo is pure, true and genuine with everything about him. He’s tacks up the same way every time you tack him up. Amigo is good with the vet and farrier. He stands tied, doesn’t pull back or have any weird quirks. He’s current on his worming, vaccinations and has a current negative coggins test. He is currently shod on all four feet but doesn’t require to be. Amigo has NO bad habits and is a pleasure to have in the barn. We really enjoy Amigo and can say he definitely has won over our hearts and he has become one of our favorites that come through our program. At 10 years old he has done a little bit of everything; from all the commotion of being a background horse on movie sets, riding right by the highway, down the trails and put in some long days on the ranch when he was needed to. Amigo got his name from being your loyal friend and equine partner every time you saddle up. He is a blast to ride! He is smooth in all of his gaits and goes the speed you ask on a loose rein.
