A unicorn has been defined as a mythical creature; highly desirable, yet difficult to obtain. BENGI doesn’t bear a horn, but he is a true unicorn! He has proven safe for the tiniest of handlers & riders time and time again! The search for your toddler’s beginner pony stops here! Bengi rides on the leadline, independently, bareback, and drives!

Bengi is a 4 yr old, gelding pony, standing 37 inches, and posses the highly sought after buckskin color. A mane to his knees & a long, flowing tail….this little guy is gorgeous!

I have so many great things to share about Bengi that I don’t know where to start! Jasper is my son, he is 21 months old. He is able to take Bengi from his stall, lead him out…..well he leads him every where haha. Bengi patiently waits until Jasper asks him to move forward. When Jasper stops, Bengi stops, waits until Jasper pulls the lead rope and asks him to go somewhere else. Benji truly babysits Jasper while I do barn chores, I trust him that much. Not only can Jasper lead him around the entire farm, around the big horses, and back to the barn….I am comfortable giving Jasper the reins in the round pen. Bengi just walks and waits on the next cue, I feel like he knows Jasper is just learning.

Bengi is patient & a great teacher. Once the littles are ready to ride on their own, you’ll have no worries. He has been ridden independently outside in the wide open by true beginner riders as young as age three. If a child knows how to steer and stop…well even if they don’t, they can ride him. If he doesn’t understand a rider’s cue, he just stops and waits. He naturally has a more whoa than go style. For a more experienced child Bengi is happy to trot and lope if asked. I feel like all kiddos wanna go fast after they figure it out, he’ll do that too. He truly is one of a kind!

Bengi isn’t just a “ride around the house pony” if you want to do something different. He is easily loaded in and out of the trailer by the kids, no assistance needed. He hauls great and is the same in town as he is at home. A perfect starter playday pony. He will walk around the barrels and poles for riders just starting or he’ll pick up the pace for the more experienced ones. He stands tied quietly while away from home. A a pleasure to take along with the big horses. Bengi also trail rides. He confidently follows along behind mom & dad’s big horses, zero issues. Cross bridges, water, and downfall. A great confidence builder!

Bengi has undergone desensitization training. He isn’t spooky in the slightest. The kids carry flags on him, wave & drag tarps, bounce the ball, and occasionally argue over who is going to ride him haha…he’s never phased. He is exposed daily to working cattle dogs, traffic, farm equipment, atv’s, other livestock, and all kinds of kids! Bengi is easy to catch, stands for all tasks, stalls, or turns out in a mixed herd.

Bengi drives as well. He has been driven independently by a 3 yr old, but also enjoyed by adults. He stands to harness & hook. A gentleman between the lines.

Bengi is a once in a lifetime opportunity. He is young enough that he’ll raise your kids, but will last long enough to be enjoyed by your grandkids as well!
