Meet the little horse that will steal your heart, Funyun! Standing right at 14 hands this has been our 5yr old daughter Saylor’s main mount. She gave him his name because their favorite afternoon past time has been sitting in the barn sharing a bag of Funyuns! He has a personality the size of Texas. He is extra kind, you can walk right out and catch him in a 200 acre pasture, he will come find you and stick his head right in the halter! This little horse is one of a kind, gentle as can be and extremely trained. Funyun is the one everyone wants to ride at our barn, adults and kids alike! He has been used extensively as a turn back horse and a ranch horse. He’s honest Abe when it comes to the daily chores at the feed yard. Shipping, sorting and puling sick cattle are all things he’s a seasoned veteran at. Funyun has been along every year with us for spring works. This year he safely packed a young boy around to gather and drag calves to the fire. Funyun is also been taken to the weekend play days pretty regularly where Saylor does the barrels, poles, and flags on him. We have also breakawayed a lot on Funyun! This flashy little horse is safe for the beginner riders and also a ball of fun for the advanced kids or adults to go use. We have taken him on many trail rides in the Palo Duro Canyon, he crosses water, and obstacles with ease and confidence. Funyun is safe around traffic, machinery, and just about any amount of chaos you can find. His ground manners are second to none. He has the smoothest jog, and a slow sweet lope, he stays collected, low headed and soft. He packs a huge stop, an easy neck rein and will do simple lead changes with ease! Funyun has perfect spins, and is so easy to ride that he will fit absolutely any level of rider there is! Ride him bridle-less, bareback or tack him all the way up, it makes absolutely no difference to him he will do it all! The coolest thing about Funyun is he stays insanely broke and gentle even with time off. He is just as happy to ride once a week or once a month and he will be the same no matter what.
