Amos Moses is a 14 year old, 18.2 hand Percheron gelding. He is the true definition of a gentle giant with a big ole Teddy Bear personality. His big head just begs you to give him a huge hug and kiss on the nose. Amos is quiet, safe, and gentle for any size or level of rider. He has spent time on the beaches of North Carolina doing beach rides for tourists. There is no experience required for someone to be able to ride him. But don’t let that part of his resume fool you, he is very well broke to ride and fun for someone with more experience. He will neck rein like a quarter horse and moves off leg pressure. Amos backs and side passes with ease. He is happy to amble down the trail or beach, or you can kick him up into a smooth jog. Loping isn’t his favorite gait, but understandably so as he more the size of a large tour bus, not a sports car. However, he can navigate tight spaces with ease and without getting frazzled. In fact, we haven’t found a single thing that gets Amos upset. He is 100% traffic safe. Along with riding, Amos also drives single and double and has done carriage rides. Have a big family? Line the kids up all the way down his back and send them off for the day. He is a true babysitter. Amos has countless miles on the trails, and rides out alone or in the group. He doesn’t have to be a head to tail kind of horse if you want to do more than that. Don’t worry about his size, you can use anything at your disposal to climb up on him either with a saddle or bareback. Amos is friendly and easy to catch.
