Dave built me this saddle, however I’ve never been able to use it due to health issues.

The things I asked Dave to do on this saddle are things I learned from Howard Council.

Dave built it and his wife tooled it. You can see from the pictures that she did an outstanding job tooling this saddle and it’s completely tooled.

The pommel is fitted on in one piece; not cut and sewn later to fit. It’s 3 3/4 in high with a Buster Welch tree.

It has a silver laced cantle and S.A. Walls stirrups. The conchos are sterling silver with bronze trim which were custom made.

I had him make this saddle out of medium thick Weaver leather. It includes front and back girth. The front girth is from Cowboy Tack. It has 17" padded seat and a 4" horn.

I had the front end double bull hide wrapped so you could rope a steer or cow with no fear of anything breaking. It has sheepskin lining. It is truly a wonderful saddle. Dave said, it was the best saddle he ever built. It’s been built to last 3 lifetimes.
