He is coming 5 years old, stands 16.1 hands tall and has a beautiful, athletic conformation. Kane is an absolute darling to be around. He is friendly and personable and loves your attention. He is strong and agile, very animated when in motion and is bold with personality. Kane is a smaller made Clydesdale, he is not overwhelming in size compared to most others. This size makes him versatile to do just about any discipline you would want to do with him. We have owned Kane for a year and a half now. He came from Montana and was started by a cutting horse trainer. Kane rides more like a Quarter Horse than a Clydesdale. He is soft in the mouth, and lopes circles both ways taking the correct leads both ways. He has a smooth, easy collected lope. He one hand neck-reins and has a big stop. Kane can turn around quick and smooth, he opens and closes gates with ease and works off of leg pressure. He is smart and responsive to what you ask of him. He side passes both ways and will side pass to a mounting block to let you on him. Kane is also a trick horse! At your command he will lay down from the ground or while you’re mounted. He will also follow you around like a puppy dog at your command to “come.” He absolutely loves to follow you around and is very playful. He truly loves spending time with you! Kane is an exceptional trail horse! He has had extensive trail riding experience and is a trail horse deluxe! He’s been trail ridden many miles by our entire family! He will go up and down steep hills with ease, through mud, ditches and deep water, over logs and through brush. Kane is surefooted on rough rocky terrain and has seen and ridden all of it! He will ride out alone or with a group, in the front or in the back. Kane is also an outstanding ranch horse. He has been used on our farm to check fences and cattle; to move, sort, work and doctor cattle. He has been pasture roped off of as well. He is very level headed and patient when working around cattle and helps make the job go smoothly. Kane has also been used to help sort and pen cattle at the stock yards. This past spring and fall we used him on a large scale cattle round up where he had to help catch, sort and pen several hundred cattle over the course of two days and he done a wonderful job! He is no stranger to the farm life and he excels in every area of work! Kane has seen the world and been exposed to a variety of things. From all sorts of livestock, to wildlife such as deer and turkey, to tarps, whips and guns, to the goats and barn cats that run in and out of the stall with him- he is familiar with it all. We’ve ponied colts off of Kane and he does great under pressure. We’ve also loaned him out for people to do photo shoots with. He is completely traffic safe and has been ridden to town many times. We’ve even started driving him and is learning quickly! In the stall Kane is clean and quiet, he gets along well with other horses in the pasture and he is easy to catch. He is ALWAYS ready greet you when he sees you coming! He stands patiently in the cross ties. He loads and hauls wonderful also, stands great for the farrier, loves grooming and a bath and is a joy to be around. Kane is an exceptional animal with a heart and mind as big as he is. Horses like Kane are not offered for sale very often. With his mindset, temperament, color and size it is a rare opportunity to own such a special animal!
