Description:
Run cow/calf operation and stockers at times over 1000 head



Need a ranch hand with experience. We have top notch facilities, a beautiful ranch and nice cattle.



Need someone who has the experience to manage, treat and take care of a cattle herd. This includes assisting with the maintenance of the fences that keep the herd in, tractors and equipment that help feed the herd and horses and experience roping cattle to tend to the herd.



This is a family friendly environment, try to keep it that way.



Candidate must be prepared for a year round operation. Which includes feeding on a team in the winter. The herd is smaller over the winter, but it is still at the ranch.



General maintenance- experience is a plus on tractors and trucks



Fencing- experiencing repairing barbed wire and permanent and temporary fences



Following knowledge and skills are required:



Horseback experience is a must, experience on a horse in corrals and on the range



Alley work and experience loading cattle on trucks for transport



Calving out heifers and cows



Familiar with identifying and treating sick animals



Ability to keep good records



Calf and cow doctoring administration(roping experience is a must).



This ranch is situated in a close, family oriented community and would like for this person and if they have a family, to be a positive part of the community.



Must have at least two horses so that this person is able to meet the commitments of managing a herd. We also have side by sides and atvs for use.



We have housing accommodations available, accommodations for your horses, offer shoeing, competitive wages, paid additional day help when needed and other perks are available after 6 months of performance on the job.



Must have valid driver’s license, we will perform a background check and so if you have a criminal record, DUI or anything else, please share up front as we will find out.



Ranching operation is expanding, would love for this individual to grow with the business.
