This group is of no exception to that rule. We feel that through our efforts of ovary palpation, AI’ing, bull selection, and confirmation evaluation, we have selected these to be outstanding long term cow makers for anyone’s program. These heifers were sourced from some of the best ranches in western South Dakota then sent to our backgrounding yard located South of Ft. Pierre, SD. We worked with a nutritionist to develop a balanced ration using a custom blended mineral for optimum health and performance. All cattle work has been performed horseback, making the docility of these heifers something to be admired. Every heifer was weighed to standard and palpated breed-able. We AI’d, them on the 19th and 20th of May to Mohnen Long Distance 1639 then cleaned up for 60 days with Crackerjack and Iron Horse sons all originating off of the J Spear Cattle Company ranch. They have summered on native rangeland in close proximity to the backgrounding yard south of Ft. Pierre. All heifers have been placed into 21 day calving groups and the AI’d heifer’s calves have been additionally sexed into groups having either all bull calves or all heifer calves. *AI’d heifers 3️⃣2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ -Due 2-27-25 AI’d 2 days ——-Bull Calves-223 head ——-Heifer Calves-185 head *Group 1 PB (Y.
