Vintage Home Boy is his registered AQHA name, around our barn he’s affectionately known as “Sparky”. He’s so stinking cute, quiet and easy to get along with. Sparky is the kind of horse that will make you appreciate having him in your barn. His quiet, cool temperament and his willing attitude will make you happy each and every day you ride him. If you’re having a hard day, just go ride Sparky and your day gets better! Sparky is a 2020 registered AQHA Bay gelding standing a perfect size of 15 hands tall and weighs 1,100 lbs making him just the right size for anything. He is Sired by the 3.95 million dollars sire “A Sparkling Vintage” and out of a daughter of Smokingpepto by the immortal Peptoboonsmal. He is a gentleman to work around and can be handled by beginners. He has no bad stall or barn habits. He has good ground manners and is very gentle to work with. He stands be groomed, bathed, tacked, etc. He is gentle with picking up his feet and stands tied to the trailer as well. With his reining training he could go to the ranch riding or versatility classes. He’s big enough to go to the roping pen and could be a switch ender rope horse with is size and athletic ability. He could even go to the breakaway pen as well. He is brave and confident on the trails. He will lead, follow, go out alone and in groups. He is not spooky, and you can drop your rein and enjoy the ride. He is relaxing and fun. Sparky has been around dogs, deer, traffic, bikes, etc. He is fun on the trails and makes an amazing adventure partner as well. Sparky rides western and has been ridden bareback. He will move off leg pressure, pivot, back up, and neck rein. I ride him in several different bits, and he is soft in your hands, and responsive. He is a free easy mover, and he will go around on a loose rein and be lazy if you want him to be. Sparky is extremely teachable and intelligent; he likes to learn new things! He has been around cows, and I have swung the rope off him and pulled the barrel around, tracked cattle and gathered cattle from the pasture to the pens. In the arena, he will walk, trot, lope. He knows his leads and is easy to guide around. He is not a complicated ride. He really wants to please his rider. Sparky is good for the vet and farrier. He requires NO special requirements, maintenance etc. He can live in a stall or outside. Sparky is an outstanding young gelding that can go absolutely any direction.
