From the show horse world to the ranching world, even down to babysitting those newbie riders, he is nothing short of perfection. Pure is the word I’d use to describe this horse. He’s the kind of horse everyone needs, and no one can find! I absolutely guarantee you that there isn’t a rider around that wouldn’t get along with this big-hearted kind soul. He only wants to please and will never take advantage, he is pure!! Pilgrim is a NRCHA money earner in the hackamore class and has a full resume when it comes to real world work! He has been day worked on and used for all aspects of ranching from sorting and shipping to doctoring cattle outside. Pilgrim is wine glass smooth in everything he does. His gaits are flawless, and his transitions are easy. He has a beautiful lead departure easy lead change, stylish long trot or an easy jog and on top of it all this horse can turn and is a great stopper. His circles are easy, and he’d be a great horse for a novice to learn the ropes on in the show world. He is ready to go on in the VRH events. This horse would score big in the steer stopping and has already proven himself in the reined and cow work. Ranch trail and ranch riding would also be right up his alley! He is just so, so easy and versatile! You will love how light and smooth this horse is. The daily things are a dream with Pilgrim. You can turn him out and catch him with ease, saddle him and ride off without a single worry! He is the kind of horse you can jump on bareback with a string around his neck and just go off anywhere! He’s safe and fun to have around! He also knows the Curbside mount for easy mounting anywhere! Pilgrim has also been known to pack our 7-year-old daughter around through the Palo Duro canyon on trail rides and also along the Canadian River. She’s also started riding him English and has been riding him at some play days. He’s perfect for her to track the sled around on and learn to rope. He has taught her a lot and never puts her in a bad spot. This horse has even packed our youngest around the arena (3 yrs old). He is a sure safe and broke enough for anyone! Pilgrim is for sure a barn favorite when it comes to going to town and needing a horse we can rely on, if you call on this horse for anything he will give you his all! He is the total package! Pilgrim also been used for a lesson horse for very beginner riders. This horse wants to do nothing but please, you can point him in any direction and he will go into it with his whole heart.
