Description:
Playboys Got Power, aka “Champ”, is a 2011 AQHA gelding that has been used extensively on the ranch. I have owned Champ for 10 years, and in that time he has done it all. He has been used to doctor cattle in the pasture, load trucks, sort pairs, pony colts, pen cattle, and more. He is super cowy, and he gets around quick. He can spin a hole in the ground, and he has a big stop. Champ will really watch a cow -he is not the kind to let one get away from him. He is my favorite horse to grab to do any kind of ranch work as he makes my job easy. If I am by myself and need to move a herd out of the brush or go rope a 1,000 lb yearling, I grab Champ, and he is always ready and willing to do his part. Additionally, I do not prefer to have to get off my horse to pick things up, and as a result Champ has plenty of experience carrying lightweight panels, barrels, etc. with no problem. He will also fold up in a corner to help me reach a gate latch easier. Champ does best when he has a job, and he has always been one that is willing to go all day, which helps make him a great using horse. I have taken him to the arena a few times as well, and he has won money in ranch rodeos and breakaway ropings. I recently started heading steers on Champ, and he can sure put a good handle on a cow. Champ is not a practice horse as he can get hot in the box. I have ridden Champ in the mountains and elk hunted on him, and he is sure footed and gets around well in rough terrain. Champ is a gentleman and has no buck, kick, or bite. You can lay off him for a month, and he will still be the same horse. He loves people, and he has never been hard for me to catch. He is not the type that enjoys standing around, and he thrives when he can help you accomplish a task. Champ is a great partner who is always ready and willing to help you get the job done.

Champ has an impeccable pedigree as both sire, dam, and both sets of grandparents are all NCHA money earners. Champ is a grandson of Freckles Playboy, and he also has Grays Starlight and Smart Little Lena on his papers. With his bloodlines, it is no surprise that he is a true athlete and can really work a cow.
