Limited edition spurs by Dale Bass. This is one of ten pair like these that he made in the 1990’s. This pair was made for the late Mack White of Canyon Texas. He had a very large collection of spurs by the early makers as well as the contemporary makers. These are marked W BASS 400 F. The 10 pair were marked 400 A-J. Mr. White wanted the F pair. Dale held back 2 pair for his children and sold the other 8. The 2" card suit rowels are of solid sterling. Rowel pins have 15/16" card suit fobs. 1" bands, 2 13/16" shanks. 3 5/8" heel openings. Made of steel mounted and inlaid with sterling silver, copper, and brass. Come with maker marked straps. The rowels alone are a work of art. Very collectible pair by a maker that set his goal to make 1000 pair and has made 999 pair. The 1000th pair is yet to come. He is a master engraver of all things of metal.
