Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible individual to take care of cattle and infrastructure on a 30,000 ranch outside of Ordway, Colorado. The ranch is a 900 head cow/calf outfit that winters cattle on the plains and sends them to the high country for summer grazing. This position will consist of winter feeding cake and some hay, calving cows on range, calving and tagging first calf heifers, branding, sorting and shipping cattle to the mountain in the spring. In the summer focus will be on fence maintenance, water development, pens and facilities maintenance as well as traveling up to the mountain some to help with cattle and hay.



-5 years minimum ranch and cattle experience is required.

-This position is located a considerable distance from the main ranch HQ. It is imperative that one possesses the motivation and communication skills to get the job done. Most days will be spent working alone.

-A smaller house, pickup and trailer and health insurance are provided.
