Description:
One of Iowa’s largest contiguous farms, the Amana Farms is made up of 26,000 acres with award-winning crop fields, a 2,000 cow/calf herd, a 4,000 head cattle feedlot, an anaerobic digester, and Iowa’s largest privately held forest.



HERDSMEN provide all care and management to a functioning cow/calf herd as well as be responsible for associated grazing lands, fences and water resources. Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading animals.





FEEDLOT employees assist in the production of fed cattle and feeder cattle in a manner that will promote efficient production of safe, wholesome beef. Duties include maintaining equipment, performing yard maintenance, cleaning animal housing, and operating tractors, trucks and implements to feed cattle and clean bed pens.
