Description:
A&S Land and Cattle is a Texas Longhorn cattle ranch located in the Willamette valley with a herd of 260 bulls, cows, & calves.



A&S Land and Cattle is seeking a dedicated Ranch Manager to oversee the operations at our ranch of our Texas Longhorn cattle. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the ranch’s functionality and ensuring its overall success.



**Duties:**



- Manage day-to-day ranch operations, including overseeing livestock, herding, & fencing.



- Maintenance and repair of ranch equipment and general carpentry.



- Carry out ranch tasks including irrigation and pump systems.



- Care for herd health ensuring their well-being.



- Implement and oversee systems to maintain pastures along with rotational cattle grazing.



- Monitor and ensure the health and growth of calving on the ranch.



- Perform basic math calculations for inventory, budgeting, and other operational needs.



- Oversee the use and maintenance of equipment to support ranch activities.



**Requirements:**



- Previous experience in a similar role on a ranch.



- Strong communication skills.



- Proficiency in managing livestock.



- Strong understanding of inventory management, budgeting, marketing, and sales of animals.



- Knowledge of operations and maintenance.



- Ability to maintain various types of organization and leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks.



- Familiarity with care practices.



- Capability to multitask and follow through with completing tasks.
