We are located out West in some of the most diverse terrain and beautiful country in the world! This ranch is a rural setting that comes with all the quiet and serene lifestyle one can ask for. Which also offers great fishing, scenery, hunting and a small friendly town that has a lot to offer. *This is not only a great opportunity for the right Cowboy, but a great place to call home and feel appreciated and welcomed* We run large numbers of Cattle bordering NE California, SE Oregon and NW Nevada with a vast amount of various terrain working in remote areas at times in open range and pastures in high altitudes. Will Be out at Camp at times, randomly, switching out with other Cowboys, we send out 2-3 Cowboys at time, must feel comfortable in isolated areas during Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. Provisions or main supplies are provided for in cabin. Applicant Must come with a good sense of humor, likes to laugh and enjoy this life.... have a deep understanding of the Cowboy way of life and code, be humble, be a team player, must follow and take instructions well, respects others, and come with a good attitude willing to learn new ways. Must be able to rope cattle out in large open country, branding is head and heal and drag, will require a large amount of time in the saddle-doctoring cattle, gathering in pastures and in rocky mountainous areas and all that applies to daily duties as well as fencing and repairs as needed (prefer some experience riding in rough terrain) This is not a beginner position and is not an equine center, must be able to rope, drag calves to fire, ride for long hours at a time, come with a good grasp on ranching in high country, show Cowboy Etiquette and ride for the Brand! If you are looking for a Ranch that offers job security and opportunity, this may be for you. We prefer a Cowboy who understands what it takes in day to day lifestyle of Ranching as a Cowboy and who takes pride in a job well-done! We have a Remuda Of Horses here on the ranch, so must be able to start colts highly preferred, but will help you out if you have started some or enough too sharpen your skill and are willing to learn new ways, we will consider. We allow up to 4 personal horses, we will provide feed but you must use your personal horses here on the ranch, we do have a string of ranch horses you may ride periodically if need be. Cowboys are Heroes’! your up at dawn, putting that saddle on, you care for livestock, you look out for each other, you have a passion for this way of life, your work can be hard with long hours and are very often gone as unappreciated unsung hero’s, not here, you are a hero, and are greatly appreciated!
