Hip #12 Shortcake is one cool little horse. He has a heart as big as Texas and will give you his all with whatever you ask of him. While being kind and gentle, he is alert. He is not a deadhead. He is a ranch horse that has gone through all terrain from 9,000 feet of elevation in the mountains to 3,000 feet of elevation in the sandhills, and has yet to fail me. Whether he has time off or is ridden everyday he saddles the same- QUIET. He loads and unloads out of a trailer easily. If you have grain to catch him, he will be your best friend, but you don’t have to have grain to catch him. I have used him in every aspect of ranch life from packing little kids on trail rides to doctoring cattle in the pasture! This is truly a gem! Ridden by Maddisun Steed.
