Description:
A central Texas ranch is seeking a skilled mechanic/maintenance person to support the ranch by providing services that maintain and repair property, equipment, and facilities.



*This is not a horseback/cowboy position.*



Responsibilities:



- Job/project planning with ranch manager – daily, weekly, monthly

- Perform routine property maintenance tasks such as welding, plumbing, electrical, fencing, etc.

- Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks such as vehicle, trailer, tractor, and other heavy machinery maintenance and repairs.

- Maintain maintenance records/logs for all ranch vehicles and equipment

- Identify and diagnose malfunctions with ranch and farm equipment.

-Read and interpret operating manuals, drawings and diagnostic test results by using dials, gauges, and other equipment.

- Perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.

-Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.



Skills:



-Must be able to work independently and have excellent time management skills

-Ability to communicate effectively

-Ability to make independent judgements

-Ability to work varied hours/days including weekends and holidays

-Skilled in the safe operation of ranch vehicles and equipment



Qualifications:



-Must have a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check and drug test.



Reports to: Ranch Manager
