Description:
Diesel is a 21-year-old dun grade gelding who has been won on in almost everything involving a rope. I bought him from a relative who owned him for a significant amount of time and can pretty well trace his life story for you. Take him and win on him, easy as that. -Heeling: Very good heel horse. Keeps his shoulders up, gives you a good shot, and stops correctly. I have won #8 World Series Ropings and been 4.7 on him in the same summer. Take the first legal shot or swing over them, he will help you win. Would fit a good junior high to amateur rodeo level heeler. Great in the #8s on up.

-Heading: Very easy, honest head horse. Scores good, lets you take a good shot, helps you finish the run. Easy to be aggressive on if you need to. Has won money in low numbered jackpots on up to amateur rodeos. Would fit a good junior high to amateur rodeo level header. Great in the #8s on up.

-Tie Down & Breakaway: Was used heavily as a practice calf horse by previous owner. I have roped calves on him minimally. Will score, break to the pin when he’s having calves roped on him, and stop. Works rope great in the practice pen but can be lazy at a rodeo when there’s a crowd. Would make a great teacher for someone wanting to tie calves or a fantastic breakaway horse with minimal tune-up.

-Other details: Currently barefoot. The last time he was x-rayed by a veterinarian as a 20-year-old they were shocked at how healthy his joints were. This horse has a miraculous gift for staying sound and staying fat on good brome hay. He has been ranched on heavily. He has won money at ranch rodeos recently. He is broke, gentle, and family friendly. He would be safe for the kids to trail ride and be around.
