He checks every box on the order for an ideal trail & family horse. He is easy on the eyes being blue roan in color with ideal muscling and bone structure, but his mind and demeanor are just as attractive. Cubie is easy to be around and handle in every way. Easy to catch out in the pasture, well mannered to handle and always gentle and kind. He loves attention and being groomed. Stands tied quietly and is a perfect gentleman to saddle and bridle. Cubie is a professional trail horse, the kind that makes it fun. He is careful and smart with his feet and will pick his way through anything you point him at. He has experience in all terrains and isn’t spooky in the slightest. He will pick his way through thick brush and tight trees, boggy swamp land is no issue and he crosses water with ease. From creeks to ponds to rivers he knows how to handle himself. You can swim with him also! No matter the type of trail riding you like to do he’s got you covered whether you want to ease down the trail on a relaxing ride or pick your way across the mountain side. Cubie is gentle and honest enough for any age or ability level of rider. He neck reins and we would describe his handle as old fashioned broke. He isn’t fancy where he’s gonna turn on a dime and whirl out from under you, but he stops when you ask and goes where you point and stays honest and gentle no matter what. He will fit anywhere he goes. If a reliable trail partner is what you’re after you will not be disappointed. We would go as far as to say that he is even gentle enough to fit a dude ranch setting or even a therapy center. We haven’t found a thing that’s been able to shake him. From dogs, equipment, vehicles, ranch kid chaos etc he’s never been shaken. Not even when one of our kiddos accidentally rode his dirt bike up underneath him. Cubie is an easy keeper and doesn’t require any extras. Everything about this guy is easy and simple. He will pack you anywhere you wish to go and make it enjoyable.
