I want a horse who I can swing a rope off of one minute, then take my toddler for a ride the next, without a question in my mind about whether it’ll be safe or not.

(I mean, that’s never happened to me before.. I’m just saying, hypothetically, it would be totally not cool if it did.)

And while we’re on the subject of what we actually want in a horse, let’s not kid ourselves, looks DO matter, a lot. You don’t want your friends to snicker behind your back while you’re playing cowboy because your horse’s butt isn’t big enough.
