I am currently working for the Oklahoma National Stockyards and Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction’s veterinarian. In the past two years working for the vet, I have worked with sorting, stress-free handling, and penning back cattle, aging and preparing cows for sale, castrating bulls, tipping/dehorning horned cattle, and processing yearlings. Prior to that, I’ve rode pen back, worked scales, and loaded and unloaded trailers at numerous sale barns around my area. Some extra experiences I have obtained include mixing smaller rations to bag feed, working for smaller cow-calf operations and I also have some experience in breaking colts. My horsemanship skills aren’t the world’s best, and I don’t get to be horseback as much as I would like to be, and my roping falls along the same lines, but would very much enjoy the opportunity to learn and further those skills. I have also ran skid steers and do have a little haying experience under my belt, but other than that, I am not what they would call “mechanically inclined” or be all that handy when it comes to haying/ crop producing operations. With all being said, I do have the eagerness to learn and I am a quick learner. I work well with others, as well as myself, am a self starter and keep a good head on my shoulders. I am fully willing to relocate myself and a good mannered dog as long as housing is provided. I do have a resume and references on hand
