Description:
Hello my name is Carter Billings I am 26 years old. My self along with my Fiancee and our 6mo old son are looking to change zip codes. I am currently a ranch manager for a large respected cow calf/ yearling operation. Primarily I care for first and second calf heifers, as well as a group of running age cattle. In addition we look after a large number of yearlings during the summer months. I also take in outside horse for further riding/ colt starting. I am looking for a position that will have me more focused on riding horses, and LEARNING how to better the quality of the horses I can make. I would prefer a focused assistant trainer or colt starting position. However a mixed cattle/ horse training position is absolutely acceptable as well. In a perfect world I’d like to go in a rope horse, ranch horse/ cowhorse direction, but will consider any opportunity.

I am currently located in norther California/ southern Oregon depending on time of year due to cattle rotation. My fiancée is absolutely wanting and willing to help as possible with our child to look out for.

SKILLS- colt starting, livestock management ( rotational grazing, culling animals/ replacement selection) , identity sick cattle, identify/ treat sick cattle, general ranch labor (fencing, irrigation, stick welding, basic mechanic ability), heavy equipment operation( excavator, front loader, dozer, skid steer, backhoe)



I have several references and a resume available upon request. We are willing to relocate. We would prefer one of the following states. California, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Arizona.
