Description:
Family-run, family-oriented commercial cow/calf operation near Sturgis, SD is seeking a full-time, long-term employee with experience calving, feeding cows, backgrounding weaned calves, and fencing. Must be proficient in operating modern haying/feeding equipment and general maintenance of equipment. An ideal candidate would be proactive yet willing to work as a team. Ability and willingness to ride horseback is a plus, but 4-wheelers are routinely used; we are looking for a cattleman, not a cowboy.



Housing, utilities, and beef are provided. This position would be ideal for a family. We are conveniently located 30 miles from Rapid City & 20 miles from Sturgis; both with employment/advanced education opportunities for a spouse. A bus stop to Sturgis Schools is 1 mile from the house.



Salary depends on experience. Position is available near the end of July. Space is available for horses & well-behaved working dogs. References required. Please send resume and three references to thompsonranchinc@gmail.com.
