Salary: Based on experience and qualifications Room & Board: Yes Phone #: 307-431-0575 click to view fullsize image Description: Hangin F Cattle Co. is a small family-owned ranch located in the beautiful Big Horn Basin of Wyoming, between Worland and Thermopolis. We take pride in raising, training, and selling high-end horses, as well as running a small herd of mother cows. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and responsible individual with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Ranch/Barn Caretaker. At Hangin F Cattle Co. your primary responsibilities will include feeding livestock and cleaning stalls and pens daily (18 indoor stalls and 12 outdoor pens at full capacity). You will also be responsible for monitoring the health and well-being of our animals and keeping the facilities clean and tidy. Additionally, responsibilities may include managing exercise routines of horses using the hotwalker, moving mares & and foals, grooming and doctoring horses, occasional fencing and irrigation tasks, assisting with cow work, light farm work such as dragging meadows and picking up hay, lawn and pool care, as well as occasional caretaking of dogs. Brand new housing is included as part of this position. Singles or couples are welcome, but we are only hiring one employee. No smoking and no pets allowed. We have a supportive team environment, with three trainers at our facility. Therefore, the ability to work well as part of a team is essential. This is not a riding position, but rather a role where you will be in charge of the general care and maintenance of our livestock and facilities. If you have a good attitude and a willingness to learn, there is room for your duties to expand and grow. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in working with high-end horses. To be successful in this role, previous experience in livestock care and maintenance is preferred. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and attention to detail. You must possess a valid driver’s license and have the physical stamina to handle a long day’s work. This is a job involving the care of livestock, therefore it is a 7 day/week job. Pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
