Our beloved CHARLIE is just about as close as it gets! The perfect demeanor, perfect manors, perfect confirmation, perfect size, and the most perfect willing attitude…always aiming to please! Charlie is a 5 yr old, 14.2 hand, Quarter/Welsh Cross gelding. Charlie rides English, Western, & Bareback. He has successfully been ridden, driven, & handled by a variety of ages making him a suitable match for almost anyone! On the trail Charlie always takes care of his rider. His calm, easy going style allows you to enjoy the scenery. Put him on a path, drape the reins around his neck, and he will walk along with minimal guidance. He rides out alone or in a group. He doesn’t have a preference where he’s at in the line. He’s confident to lead the pack, yet also just as content to bring up the rear. He is not herd bound. He will quietly ride away from the group. If you need to make a pit stop, no worries, throw the reins around the horn, tell him whoa, and he’ll stay there. Charlie crosses water, ditches, goes up & down hills, through brush, and navigates rough terrain with ease. At home Charlie is easy to catch. He enjoys grooming. He doesn’t mind to tote kids around the yard. He rides the same across an open field as he does on the trail. Charlie is started over small jumps. He has a smooth trot & canter. He could definitely excel in that discipline. Charlie has been extensively driven. He patiently stands to harness & hook. He walks along on a loose line. He is unbothered by passing cars, barking dogs, etc. He is frequently lady driven. Suitable for an amateur driver. Charlie has amazing manors. He is personable, yet respectful of your space. Charlie is easily led around, loads and unloads like a gentleman. He will stand tied or cross -tied. He doesn’t paw at the ground, I don’t think I’ve ever even heard him nicker. He just patiently waits. Stands like a statue for mounting. Stands for the farrier, stands to be tacked up, and for bathing. Charlie is a very easy keeper. He is perfectly content living outside 24/7 or he can be kept in a stall. He is always neat & tidy. He turns out in a mixed herd zero issues. Charlie has amazing feet. He is kept barefoot and on a regular trim schedule. Charlie sells with a current prepurchase/wellness exam, current coggins, health certificate required for transport, and equine vet verification of age. Charlie is truly one of a kind.
